How it works

You were already making this.

Rosemary water and rice water are the two things people have been brewing in their kitchens for two years. Bare Anatomy is the same two things, made properly — so it keeps, it sprays evenly, and it does not go off in three days.

Three ways, one bottle

Every one of them is leaving it in.

There is no version of this that involves waiting, wrapping or rinsing. That is the whole point of a water-based spray — it absorbs instead of sitting on the hair, so it can go on in the ten seconds you actually have.

  1. Leave it in Spray the scalp and the lengths on damp or dry hair. Massage it in for a few seconds. Do not rinse it out. Daily is fine.
  2. Or leave it overnight The same application, before bed. Longer contact with the scalp, and it is water based, so there is nothing to wash out in the morning if you would rather not.
  3. Or use it before you wash Spray it through twenty minutes before shampoo as a pre-wash treatment. Useful if your lengths are dry and your scalp is not.

What it is for

Root to tip, not one or the other.

Most sprays pick a side. This one is meant to go on the scalp and down the length in the same pass, which is the only reason it fits into a morning.

Scalp

Rosemary extract is used on the scalp for circulation. No alcohol and no added fragrance, so it is not doing anything to an already irritated scalp.

Lengths

Rice water conditions as it dries — the traditional rinse, minus the rinsing. Frizz sits down, the ends stop looking dry.

Every hair type

Water based and lightweight, so fine hair does not go flat and thick hair still gets through it. Nothing here is weight.

The blend

Two ingredients that earn their place.

Everything else in the bottle is there to keep those two stable and safe on skin.

Nothing else
